The Miranda Foundation is distinguished by its proactive and personalized approach to grantsmaking.  It identifies opportunities to support its purpose and areas of interest by inviting current grantees or other 501©3 certified organizations in Puerto Rico, Washington D.C. or Mexico, to submit proposals on selected projects.  As a result, unsolicited proposals are discourage.  It also welcomes partnerships and collaborations with like-minded organizations, in order to leverage resources.  Besides the funding, oftentimes grantees receive the benefit of the personal involvement of one of the foundation’s directors.
